§ 22-23. Temporary business license.

  • Notwithstanding any other provision of this article, a person engaged in or intending to engage in a business may elect to purchase a temporary business license in lieu of paying the annual business license fee for said business if the gross income for said business, calculated pursuant to the above section 22-4(b), does not exceed $2,000.00 in a single day. If a person purchases a temporary business license for a business, and the business' gross income ever exceeds $2,000.00 in a single day, the person must immediately apply for a regular business license and pay the annual license fee as calculated pursuant to the provisions herein. The fee for a temporary business license shall be $20.00 per day. All regulations and procedures contained in this article shall also be applicable to the issuance and administration of temporary business licenses except for section 22-3, section 22-4(a), section 22-21, and section 22-22.
